Watercolor Popsicles & Ice Cream

It’s 94ºF over here so even though school has started, I don’t think our summer weather is going anywhere just yet… which is great, because I have another ice cream story after this one to show you.
Inspired by dreamy watercolors (and doing a little of my own painting), here is the second half of our shoot.

Light & Fresh Desserts

Excited to share with you my most recent food shoot featuring light and fresh desserts. Dana Bonagura rocked it with her beautiful food styling, creating a Plum Almond Rustic Galette & Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble. Those plums were unreal. Brenda Barrett-Taylor’s prop styling added just the right amount of deep jewel tones and a rustic woodsy theme.

Check back tomorrow for the second half of our shoot, the Watercolor Popsicle and Ice Cream story.

Ali’s Bridal Shower

I’m back! I’m back! And I have lots in store for you this week. First up:
Saturday was my baby sister Ali’s bridal shower and the details were too sweet not to share. My mom’s friends did a beautiful job with gorgeous flowers (Holly Fowler) and our favorite “shower” food: Thai Lettuce Wraps. I’m not sure how the tradition was started but if we are ever involved in giving baby or bridal showers, it’s either quiches or lettuce wraps. I made my salted caramel ice cream and Oreo sweet cream ice cream and you better believe there wasn’t any leftover to eat the rest of the weekend. (To keep my weight up, I’ll be making more.) Happy Wedding Month, Ali!

Woah –are you there?

Jane the Safari Queen

A year ago from the spring, Mallory and I collaborated on this Safari-inspired shoot with my sweet cousin Jane. We never posted it then, but excited to be reminded of this fun day. I love this girl and Mallory’s styling is so darling. Enjoy!
